Guess who’s back? This month’s ArtWanted! feature reunites us with not one, but two “old” acquaintances: Reinier Reynhout, talented Dutch CG artist, and his trusty model of the Lamborghini Aventador. Longtime readers of our blog might recognize both from our February 2016 3D Artist of the Month article. Inspired by the visuals of Sci-Fi blockbuster ‘Bladerunner 2049’, Reinier created two distinct, futuristic settings for his luxurious car of choice.

With nearly 500 attendees present at the ceremony held in Tehran, Iran, a panel of judges awarded prizes for the best architectural renderings. A Race against Time – Anymotion Battle 2018 winner Ricardo Mendes

Last month saw the thrilling conclusion of the Anymotion Battle 2018 in São Paulo, Brazil. Held in front of a live audience, the contestants relentlessly worked under various stipulations to produce short animations from scratch within a tight time limit. Although competition was fierce, 2D animator Ricardo Mendes convinced the judges with his stylish submission and claimed first place.

In space, no one can hear you sing. Although extraterrestrial in nature, the tunes of Roman Fischer are perfectly audible on planet earth. After an extended hiatus from the music industry, the singer-songwriter returns to the public eye with HYPERKID, an ambitious audio-visual experience consisting of an EP and an ongoing series of 3D animated music videos.

Set in a not-so-distant future, HYPERKID tells the story of a young space nomad searching far and wide for survivors of a disastrous event of cosmic proportions. Like his main character, Roman Fischer seemingly went to infinity and beyond, producing the project entirely by himself. With the arrival of ‘Zero Gravity’, the first video release in the HYPERKID series, the multimedia artist sat down with us for an exclusive and down-to-earth interview.
