EVE: Online, the long-running massive multiplayer online space simulation by Icelandic developer and publisher CCP Games, is a cultural phenomenon. Every day, tens of thousands of players compete for riches, power, glory and adventure amidst the nearly 8.000 star systems that make up the game’s vast universe. Even though generally more known for its intricate player interactions and fascinating history, the visual appeal of its futuristic setting plays an important part in its continued success.
We had the chance to sit down with Cinematic Director Ólafur Haraldsson and talked trailers, immersion and VR.

We proudly present you our July 2017 3D Artist of the Month, Mateusz Adamski! His submission ‘Her’ pushes the boundaries of CG imagery, with the lines between reality and animation becoming increasingly blurry. A creative link between architectural visualization and storytelling, ‘Her’ is a visual love letter to the artist’s girlfriend, beautifully painted on the canvas of contemporary interior design.

Founder Dirk de Jongh tells us that while the company’s main focus lies on providing high-quality renderings for architects and real-estate developers, their diverse customer base also includes product developers, shipbuilders, museums, schools and even amusement parks!
