We are happy to announce that 2018 sees the continuation of our 3D Artist of the Month competition. Alexandr Melentev kicks off the new year with a bang, as he leads us into a magical realm of winter fairy tales and diesel fueled machinery. His airborne ‘Hunter’s Village’ offers a fascinating glimpse into the artist’s ongoing effort of creating an original fantasy world based on Russian folklore. Rich in purposeful detail, the image exhibits a unique visual style dubbed “wooden punk” by Alexandr.

Join us as we journey deeper into a world suspended in perpetual flight and talk flying trees, world building and wooden architecture.

As the year draws to a close, we would once again like to shine a light on the charitable efforts of the CGI community. To raise awareness for children in armed conflicts, UNICEF Afghanistan produced ‘Courage of a Little Heart’, a touching animation based on a true story. With limited resources available, creative director Shaikh Danial gathered a team of talented artists from all over the globe. United in the cause to protect children from unlawful child recruitment, RebusFarm dedicates this month’s ArtWanted! Feature to the Pakistan all-rounder and joins him on his journey to make the world a better place.

Donations instead of gifts 2017

During the most wonderful time of the year we won't forget about the children who are suffering from war and devastation all over the world.

To help those children we continue to support the 'Donations instead of gifts' campaign by UNICEF. Our contribution this year helps UNICEF to provide children like Ahmed in Syria with warm blankets, emergency tents and school materials.

UNICEF works in 190 countries and territories to protect the rights of every child. UNICEF has spent 70 years working to improve the lives of children and their families.

Online 3D models marketplace CGTrader is running the CGTrader Awards: a worldwide art contest with a prize pool of over $50,000 in value. As a proud sponsor of the Awards, we are happy to see that more than 2,500 artworks were submitted in total.

Inspired by the design of the 'AnalogFolk London' office, Deniz created an impressive reinterpretation of the interior.
