3D Artist of the Month May 2019: Stas Vergasov

Architectural visualization is truly a global industry. Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, we are free to digitally explore cityscapes and buildings from all over. Our 3D Artist of the Month campaign is one opportunity to connect with artists worldwide and highlight their work. For May 2019, our journey takes us to the city of Novosibirsk in Siberia, Russia. Here, we meet Stas Vergasov, a talented 3D archviz artist, specializing in exteriors.

Art Wanted! Featuring Peter Oldorf

Those familiar with Mies van der Rohe’s iconic Farnsworth House might immediately spot that something is off in Peter Oldorf’s reimagined scene. Not satisfied with simple 3D reconstruction, the German archviz artist decided to unceremoniously transplant the building from its original location in Plato, Illinois to a rugged Swedish forest landscape.

RebusFarm helps children in Yemen

The situation in Yemen is getting worse and worse. Every day children are suffering from hunger, violence and diseases. UNICEF is on-site, helping those children in need. They treat malnourished children with therapeutic special food in the form of peanut paste or special milk. Both are particularly rich in nutrients and calories to help them gain new strength. The children are given vaccines against diseases such as diphtheria or cholera. Furthermore, the UNICEF team repairs schools, provides the children with educational material and takes care that there are teachers.

Although February has passed, it is still Valentine’s day at RebusFarm! Our March 2019 ‘3D Artist of the Month’, talented 3D modeling and texturing artist Valentin Erbuke, has gifted us some delicious eye-candy. Half elf, half dryad, his equally fierce and delicate ‘Jungle Hunter’ shot an arrow straight through our hearts! At only 23 years, Valentin’s work, notable for its realism and visual coherence, has already earned him a great many admirers in the CG community.

In our interview, Valentin talks about falling in love with 3D, his reasons for relocating overseas and the benefits of teaching.

A pixel pushing world citizen: Gleb Alexandrov and Creative Shrimp

Simple: They all blend together in the brand CG artist and educator Gleb Alexandrov has successfully built from the ground up over the last years. A vocal proponent of open-source software, Gleb focuses on content creation centered on the free 3D software Blender. His vast knowledge, shared in the form of videos and tutorial courses, continues to benefit countless aspiring 3D artists worldwide.

We once again had the pleasure to sit down with Gleb and talked about digital freedom, content creation and his recent push in game development.
