Chaos unveiled the latest update to Vantage, bringing version 2.4. This release introduces exciting new features for artists!
The enhanced workflow and performance include the following:
- Expanded Decal and Texturing Options: Import and create V-Ray Decals and nest V-Ray scenes for greater creative freedom. Materials gain a "Thin-Walled" option, and UDIM textures streamline texture workflows.
- Improved Color Correction and Camera Control: The new white balance option achieves precise color balance, and various color correction settings can be loaded directly from .vrscene files. Cameras now support "Auto-exposure" and "exposure bias" for seamless integration.
- User Interface Refinements: Boost your efficiency with a search filter in the Scene Outliner, and leverage undo/redo actions in the animation editor for imported animated cameras.
- Geometry and Performance Enhancements: Benefit from improved scatter generation, better denoising of deforming geometry, and the ability to select scatter and fur objects directly in the viewport. DLSS-RR version 3.7 delivers faster rendering, especially for scenes with a mix of animated and non-animated instances.
- Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements: The update addresses numerous issues for a more stable workflow, including fixes for scene merging, asset rendering, key shortcuts, camera settings, and object visibility. Additionally, NVENC encoding and installer functionality have been improved.
