Jonas Noell - Procedural terrain (fully automated shading setup)

Jonas Noell released a new video tutorial covering the shading process of the procedural terrain in 3DS Max with V-Ray!

This tutorial will teach you how to automatically generate interesting-looking terrain or rock surfaces using a procedural workflow.

First, you will learn to generate a simple base geometry and use simple modifiers to add details. The next step is developing several base shaders such as different rock and grass surfaces using.

You will learn to use an automated workflow to place those textures on any surface using Triplanar Projections and UVW Randomizations. Finally, simple procedural rules will be added to blend all individual shaders together and create the final result.
